Blues Host Second Annual Girls Tier I Ice Breaker Invitational

This past weekend, the St. Louis Blues hosted nine girls Tier I hockey teams from across the country at Centene Community Ice Center, the official practice facility of the St. Louis Blues, for the second annual Ice Breaker Invitational.

Building on the success of the inaugural tournament, this year's event expanded to include both 12U and 14U divisions. Participating teams included the St. Louis AAA Lady Blues (12U and 14U), Carolina Jr. Canes (12U), Arizona Kachinas (12U and 14U), Vegas Jr. Golden Knights (12U and 14U), and Milwaukee Jr. Admirals (12U and 14U).

In addition to the on-ice competition, the weekend featured a full schedule of team building and enrichment opportunities. The event kicked off with a Nutrition Discussion and Breakfast presented by 1st Phorm. Representatives from 1st Phorm also led team-building sessions for each participating team throughout the weekend.

Olympic medalists Alex Cavallini, Joy Dunne, Brianna Decker, Megan Ferguson, Abby Roque, and Jincy Roese made special guest appearances during the tournament. Serving as Female Hockey Ambassadors, they joined teams as celebrity coaches, skated with players, shared their experiences, and participated in an autograph session, creating memorable experiences for all involved.
