Kicking Off the Season with a Try Hockey for Free

On Sunday, September 27th at Centene Community Ice Center, the St. Louis Blues hosted the first Try Hockey for Free session of the 2026-27 season! Kids ages 4-9 had the opportunity to try hockey for the first time, gaining firsthand experience on the ice and discovering what makes the game so much fun.

Participants learned the basics of hockey, including stickhandling, passing, and shooting, with guidance from our Blues Youth Hockey Coaches. Through engaging on-ice activities, kids built confidence, developed new skills, and created lasting memories while trying something new alongside their peers.

Each participant received a free hockey stick and jersey to take home, helping them continue their hockey journey beyond the rink. We love seeing young players step onto the ice for the very first time, experience the excitement of the sport, and leave with smiles, new friendships, and a passion for hockey.
